  • 23 years of experience as a public safety instructor teaching firefighting, safety, hazardous materials, and technical rescue courses at the state, county, and local level. 10+ years of fire service teaching in Higher Education.
  • Creative and highly self-motivated lifelong learner of public safety preparedness and response in addition to adult learning theories, workplace learning practices, and instructional/course development principles. Career focus on training and education; have served as a peer instructor training other instructors in adult learning theories, andragogy, and educational delivery methods.
  • Teaching and instructional development experience both as a project manager and as a team/committee member with instructor development, firefighting, and technical rescue classes delivered through classroom, online, and hybrid instruction at the governmental, vocational, undergraduate, and graduate levels.
